Practical resilience training for smaller businesses01962 656330
Our approach

Wellbeing support begins in everyday conversations.

We help you approach those conversations with more confidence, through practical training that fits your business.

Why the manager matters

The person who notices can be the person who opens the door.

You see the changing workload, the missed meeting and the person who has stopped joining in. You also know the people behind those changes.

That puts you in a good position to start a supportive conversation. It doesn’t mean you have to solve every problem. We help you notice changes, listen, make adjustments within your role and recognise when you need more support.

Building your first wellbeing foundation

If you don’t have a dedicated HR department, a half-day workshop offers a manageable first step. Your managers leave with a shared language, reference materials and individual actions.

Connecting people with existing support

If you offer an Employee Assistance Programme or other benefits, the workshop can help managers understand when and how to signpost them. Access to a service becomes more useful when people know where to turn.

Working with CPC

A clear journey, shaped around your team.

A short initial conversation helps us understand your business, recommend a format and agree what a useful session would look like.

Understand what’s happening

Tell us about the pressures you see, the managers who would attend and what you hope they will do more confidently. You don’t need to share identifiable employee health details.

Agree the session

We confirm the half-day or full-day format, group size, venue, price and practical arrangements. Examples can reflect your working environment while keeping the four core learning objectives.

Prepare people to participate

We prepare the session and materials. You let participants know the purpose, protect the time in their diaries and flag any accessibility requirements. We agree the support routes relevant to your business.

Learn by trying

The workshop combines guided explanation, small-group discussion and rehearsal. You can use fictional examples, and you don’t have to share personal mental-health information.

Bring the learning back to work

You’ll make a two-week action plan with a technique to try, a habit to change and a conversation to have. We can arrange a reminder when we prepare your workshop.

What better support looks like

Small changes you can actually notice.

The workshop gives you time to practise. You make those skills useful through your everyday management habits.

Earlier, calmer check-ins

You raise a specific observation in private and ask what’s happening, rather than letting uncertainty build.

Concerns that are followed through

The conversation ends with a clear action and an agreed time to revisit it.

Clearer routes to support

You know what you can help with and when to suggest another source of support.

A realistic view of resilience

People need skills.
They also need support.

Resilience training should sit alongside sensible workloads, good management and appropriate professional help. A breathing technique won’t resolve an unreasonable deadline or an unresolved workplace issue.

We keep those distinctions clear. You’ll learn to listen to what needs to change and act within your role, alongside techniques you can try in a pressured moment.

The wider picture

Good intentions need practical support.

In the DWP's 2024 Employer Survey, 65% of employers said they had no systems for assessing and monitoring employees' mental wellbeing.

That finding describes a broader gap in employer support. Our role is to help your managers notice changes, have useful conversations and know when to bring in more support.

What does other research tell us?

PAM Group's 2025 Health at Work summary reports that 57% of employees wanted mental-health counselling, while 22% had access. These are findings from PAM's research, not a measure of your team or a promise about training outcomes. Read PAM's 2025 findings.

CIPD's 2026 employee benefits research found that 22% of employers had no set objectives for their benefits. This covers employee benefits overall, not just wellbeing. Before your workshop, we'll discuss what you want your managers to do differently and how you can review their progress. Read the CIPD research summary.
